May it Be

The early morning moments in the days after Owen’s birth are some of my most treasured.

Resting my tiny, curled baby on my lap, his long, spindly fingers curling around mine.

It was Christmas time and the days were busy, but the mornings, our early four a.m. moments, were quiet, peaceful, and just belonged to us.

It was when I started singing “May it Be” to him for the first time and nearly every day since.
